Ministry of Mines and Mining Development Engages Youth at National Youth Day Celebrations

The Ministry of Mines and Mining Development actively participated in the National Youth Day commemorations held at Igava Youth Centre, reaffirming Government’s commitment to youth empowerment and inclusive economic growth under the theme “Youth Agenda for Transformation.”

MINING INDABA 2026
In his Main Address at the Sahara Stage, the Minister presented Zimbabwe’s investment case, highlighting policy reforms, secure tenure, and opportunities in lithium, platinum, and gold. The UK Trade Commissioner for Africa, John Humphrey, underscored cooperation on geological surveying, mineral governance, and how transparent geological data can unlock Zimbabwe’s mining potential.

Ministry of Mines and Mining Development welcomed His Excellency Zhou Ding, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Zimbabwe, for a courtesy visit. Hon. Dr. Eng. Polite Kambamura, the Minister of Mines and Mining Development, received the ambassador with warmth and cordiality.
